Join gifted therapist, Stefan Reiter, for a day of discovery and transformation through the work of Systemic Constellation at Isha.
Systemic Constellation work is a relatively new discipline. Developed and refined by Bert Hellinger in the 20th century, it is an amalgamation of several psychodynamic disciplines including Gestalt, Neurolinguistic Programming and Family therapy, amongst others.
Systemic Constellation is an interactive approach in which the client and facilitator explore the most entangling dynamics in a “constellation”–whether this is a family dynamic/pattern, a character trait or even a behavior. Constellation work invites the faculties of intuition, emotional responsiveness to combine with cognitive awareness and awareness of physical responses to thoughts/situations.
Constellations can be done by the individual alone, with the facilitator, or with other group members who will be “representatives” of individuals or archetypes for the client’s case.
A Constellation Day involves group work. Three to four individuals will choose to work on a specific issue separately throughout the day. Other members of the group will participate as “representatives” in the client’s constellation. No prior experience in constellation work or therapy is required in order to attend a constellation. An open mind, willingness to experience and discretion are key.
